Addiction & Mental Health Treatment Professionals
Helping a client achieve mental balance takes care, understanding, skill, and compassion. At Morningside Recovery, our clinicians incorporate all of these along with the latest evidence-based treatment approaches. We believe with the right help, each person can enjoy the wonderful life they were meant to live. When a client is referred to Morningside, our goal is to maintain and build upon all of the work the client has done in previous treatment. Morningside uses a collaborative team approach with referring clinicians, who are treated as adjunct members of our internal clinical team. The valuable insight gained during a client’s history in treatment helps us design a treatment plan that will specifically address the client’s needs. Moreover, referring clinicians are welcomed to stay involved via weekly reports and are invited to participate in our clinical rounds and discussions as they pertain to the client.
All of our therapists and staff focus on a healing, client-centered approach. Morningside specializes in the treatment of co-occurring disorders, and we use traditional, experiential and integrative therapies to reach clinically complex clients. Morningside is the referral of choice for so many world-class treatment centers because of our extensive range of services and individualized programming. These programs include the Morningside Academic Institute and Morningside Adventure Program; both highly successful treatment tracks for the young adult client discharging from a primary treatment program. In addition to these tracks geared towards the young adult, Morningside also offers an extensive range of services, including transitional and structured living, academic and college programs, and intensive outpatient treatment.
Morningside’s comprehensive services are designed to help clients develop self-awareness, positive self-images and the skills necessary to rebuild lives. Clients who arrive without a diagnosis receive comprehensive psychological and psychiatric assessments that include an in-depth health review and personal history taking. Clients with an existing diagnosis still receive assessment and the results of all testing guide our interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and counselors in the creation of an individualized plan of treatment.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet our clinical team or see Morningside’s facilities, or would like to see what’s new and how we’ve grown, we would be happy to arrange a meeting with or clinical team and a tour of our residential housing any time you are in the Newport Beach area. We continue to work with cutting-edge facilities because we have earned their confidence that the referred client is moving on to exceptional care. Additionally, we would also love to receive information on your practice, treatment center, or related services. Joel Edwards is Morningside’s primary outreach and facility relationship contact and can address any questions, concerns, or ideas that you may have. Joel is available by email or by phone at (949) 675-0006.
