Individualized Recovery Programs
At Morningside Recovery, we believe that effective treatment often takes the form of different programs. Each client is treated as an individual with their own customized plan. The experienced and compassionate clinical staff can assign a treatment track for each client according to his or her unique process of self discovery. This healing, client-centered approach is grounded in evidence that includes scientific research findings and the clinical experience of Morningside’s own experts. Morningside clinicians know that individualized programs and treatment tracks will produce a specific clinical outcome that is measurable in a change in client status.
All of our individualized programs are active, structured problem-solving approaches that offer specific modifications for each client. Emphasis is placed on teaching patients to monitor and increase positive events in their daily lives using behavioral treatment procedures. Clients may participate in a single program or pull elements from many, depending on the therapeutic goals established between the client, family and therapist.
Evidence-Based Recovery: Therapies and Goals
In making recommendations, Morningside’s staff engages in a process of evidencebased thinking in which they consider scientific research, clinical practice theory, practice principles, and practice guidelines, as well as their own individual clinical experiences. Based on this thinking, they arrive at recommendations for optimal clinical approaches for given clinical situations.
Clients often arrive at Morningside suffering from low self-esteem, lack of traditional job skills, depression, lack of a social support network, and a strong value system. Our multidisciplinary programs effectively address these issues, even the more complex mental health concerns that may be underlying chemical dependency. Regardless of the treatment track, clients begin to formulate a sense of purpose and develop a sense of community. The latest studies show that the most effective treatment occurs when it aligns with the client’s behavior patterns especially for individuals with co-occurring disorders. We take into account all of these characteristics when analyzing the appropriate treatment methods, and we treat the client according to his or her needs.
