Morningside Recovery’s 90 Day Program |
Sample Schedule | Activities |
Morningside Recovery’s signature program is our 90 Day extended care. Clients entering Morningside typically stay for at least three months. The 90 Day program utilizes the Phase System (Phases I. II, III), where each phase is designed to build upon the previous phase. Progression through the various phases is clinically driven. For this reason, it is suggested all clients enter at Phase I and progress through all three phases. The Primary 90 Day program is the most comprehensive of all Morningside’s treatment programs. While our 90 Day program includes many of the services offered in a 30 day inpatient treatment facility, Morningside’s program is specifically designed for clients who are discharging from a primary inpatient program, have not responded to traditional 30 day inpatient treatment, and/or are clinically appropriate for our levels of care.
Individual Therapy - Morningside residents receive individual therapy once a week. In these sessions, residents identify, sort-out, and clarify issues relating to their addiction with specific focus on dual diagnosis issues. In addition, our residents take part in individual sessions with our doctors, psychiatrists and nurse practitioners, executive directors, educational and career directors, and other specialists, regularly, or as needed. All our clinical staff maintains an open-door policy and can be contacted 24 hours a day.
Group Therapy - Group therapy provides our residents with the opportunity to discuss life issues among peers in a safe and supportive setting. Facilitated by Morningside clinical staff, these groups offer our residents an opportunity to share their concerns and get feedback on their problems. By participating in the group process, residents learn new ways to approach life, along with new tools to arrest self destructive behaviors.
Education Lectures - Learning about addictions, dual disorders, and re-structuring life skills is an important component of our treatment. Case managers and therapists work individually and in groups with residents to re-tool poor coping and life skills.
Medication Management – Since some of our residents are on various medications, it is essential these meds are managed responsibly. , Misuse or mismanagement can be dangerous. Morningside’s medical staff ensures medications are dispensed exactly as prescribed by physicians.
Case Management – Each resident at Morningside Recovery is assigned a case manager who takes on numerous roles as a vital part in a resident’s treatment. Along with developing an individualized treatment plan, the case manager acts as a liaison to outside family members and loved ones. He also helps residents identify and improve general life skills, such as such financial planning, nutrition, physical fitness, anger management, relapse prevention, and relationship building. Below is a more detailed description of the role of case manager within a residential treatment setting.
